Styles in Graphic Design

Bauhaus

The Bauhaus advertisement is a representation of abstract forms. The simple shapes, along with the 3 dimensional forms beside it, give it an off balance composition. The text allows your eye to follow the larger font then read the smaller fonts to see what it is all about. The colors are very basic, which gives does not attract the eye at first.

Pop Art

This advertisement relates to pop art because of the use of color, text and format. The bold colors as well as the product give a since of playfulness to this ad. Line is used in this document by the way the text is lined up in the center. The font attracts the eyes and gives character to this composition. Andy Warhol is a great example of pop art.

Retro Modern

Retro-modern advertising consists of strong images that are cartoonist or very animated. I chose this ad because the colors, objects and composition caught my eye instantly. The large swirly blue shape caught my attention and i felt as if i was reading a comic book as well as the text.

Nostalgic Remix

This ad uses this kind of graphic design but only in the background and it is kinda hard to see. I don't know if this counts as nostalgic. The patterns in the sky of circles and other abstract forms make it a well working ad. The text is large to allow the reader to understand who and what is it representing. I also like the bright colors in this ad.
