CNNC schematic design process

First 4 Perspectives...Interim Critique Drawings

Connector hallway, includes the ramp, conference rooms and the public restrooms

The small vault will be used as the large training room as well as a kitchen, and classroom are included as well

Office hallway, allowing light to spread throughout the space using the horizontal banding of windows and the large glass pane doors

Perspective of large vault, leaving the space open allowing movement throughout this space.

This was our first charrette for the CNNC project.  We had to design the front facade of the old Leon's Beauty Salon on West Lee Street.  I wanted to keep it modern by adding long horizontal windows but then i realized after this mini project, that it needs more character.  It seems rather boring and uninviting which is not what i want in the appearance of CNNC.

Schematic layout of the needs of CNNC

Sketching out sections and perspectives, figuring out where furniture will be placed.

Thoughts about the discussion Tommy and i had as well as keeping along with the power of the square, i sketched out an exterior front door to CNNC.

Reception desk, keeping my concept in mind but i had way too many squares going on in such a little space. I eliminated the desk squares when i did my final schematic design.

A section cutting through the training room and facing a classroom, kitchen and storage closet.
